Christmas Eve, Babe

I woke up this morning with 'Fairytale of New York' in my head - specifically the bit about cars big as bars, they've got rivers of gold.

When I went downstairs and turned on Chris Evans, guess which line of which song came out of the radio?

OK, this is fairly unremarkable on Christmas Eve.

Confession: I don't like 'Fairytale of New York'. It may be brilliant wonderful etc but it's also really depressing.

On the other hand, last week on Bob Harris I heard 'Christmas in Paradise' by Mary Gauthier and loved it, so here you go.

Speaking of Christmas songs, shortly I will be Driving Home For Christmas, my scooter laden with gifts and my iPod Shuffle laden with festive tunage. I hope you all have a wonderfully Merry Christmas.
