Deck the Halls

On Friday I attended what julietk billed as an evening of indulging your inner toddler and constructing Xmas tat. While more artistic souls made crackers, recycled cards and Christmas dog hats, I started on a paper chain, found it very hard to stop, and ended up with approximately seven metres of it.

I met Finlay the very lovely mastiff cross (and also had a bonus side quest to meet A SMALL KITTEN) and spent about half an hour stroking him all over. Then he tried to stand up and immediately fell down again, and we concluded I had got him drunk on pettins.

On Saturday, inspired, I decorated the tree that calgor had kindly retrieved from storage. We discovered that the fibre optic lights which used to cycle through different colours now don't, but it's still pretty.

Festive tree!

Santa on a motorbike!

What with mulled wine and mince pies at a friend's on Saturday night and a Sunday largely spent writing cards and wrapping presents, I'm well up for Christmas now. Bring it on!
