Together Through Life

I probably shouldn't mention Bob Dylan again in case I attract the attention of the brave anonymous commenter from my last post, but I wanted to say that in my ignorant and ill-informed opinion his new album is very fine, and has a lot of accordian on it.

My favourite line so far is the bitterrific 'I just wanna say that Hell's my wife's home town'. Dude, why don't you just get over yourself and marry Joan Baez already?

Here are a couple of tie-ins from Radio 2, via Listen Again.

The Blagger's Guide to Bob Dylan: At first I thought 'who are you to mock, you with your silly accent?', but before long I found I was chuckling. And learning stuff. I had no idea Mark Knopfler played on Slow Train Coming.

The Lyrics of Bob Dylan: Billy Bragg, Tom Paxton, Andrew Motion and other luminaries attempt to make head or tail of ten songs from different points of Dylan's career. Caused the colleague who sits behind me to turn round and say "Are you singing? Aah!"
