I got it!

Today was weird. I worked on the website for an hour, then went downstairs to talk to three people who knew perfectly well I don't habitually wear a suit jacket about why I was the right person to work on their website. Then I went back up to work, discreetly absenting myself to the kitchen every hour while the other candidates were shown around Web Team HQ.

At half-past three I was told the job was mine.

I have never actually had a permanent job before. Although I worked at Reuters for almost two years, it was as a series of three-month contracts. Such things as pension schemes, annual leave and free eyesight tests are new to me.

Tomorrow I will bring in my own coffee mug and the Lovable Dogs 2003 calendar tktiger gave me for Christmas.

Oh, and start Friends Onlying my work-related posts.
