Sneak Peek

When tubediary and gerald_duck alerted me to the need for volunteers to test-drive passenger processing systems at Heathrow's controversial Terminal 5 before it opens to the public in a few months' time I was quick to sign up, and ecstatic to receive a phone call requesting my presence at the March 8th trial.

Nobody to whom I've bragged about it seems as thrilled as I am at the prospect of getting up at dawn on a Saturday to spend seven hours milling about an airport toting a dummy suitcase without a holiday somewhere nice at the end of it, or even a bag of duty frees. But I, being A Great Big Geek, can't wait.

cybersofa would've understood.
