Sainsbury's bunched daffs have a big '5 DAY' sticker on the wrapper, indicating that they are guaranteed to stay fresh for five days.

Only, if you're me, you're likely to think for one brief moment that Sainsbury's is encouraging you to eat daffodils as part of your 5 A DAY.

(Daffodils, by the way, look unexpectedly charming in an earthenware jar designed to hold cider. I could swear I used to own a vase, however.)
