A Postcard From Alice

Last time it was my turn to choose reading material for the office Book Club, I selected Nevil Shute's A Town Like Alice. Soon afterwards, one of our members decided to take a three-week trip to Australia (I like to think she was influenced by our enjoyment of the novel).

This morning I arrived at work to find I had been sent 'A view of Alice Springs from Anzac Hill looking south to Heavitree Gap' with the message 'I don't know how Jean + her man managed doing all they did! It's kind of warm!'.
