Not about the taste, as I haven't actually tried it; I rarely buy Coke, and when I do I go for cherry or vanilla. About the advertising.
I've been riveted by the sheer awfulness of the posters, which compare the 'great Coke taste' with 'zero sugar' to:
- BRAS without the FUMBLING
- STAG DOS without GETTING MARRIED
- GIRLFRIENDS without the FIVE YEAR PLAN
On the other hand, what we have here is a low-calorie or diet product not aimed at women. Blimesters! Heineken could run its own campaign with photos of the Coke posters captioned 'How refreshing'!
On the other other hand, two wrongs don't make a right; having convinced one half of the population that it needs to lose a pound or two, let's not start on the remainder, please.
On the fourth hand, perhaps I should get worked up about something that actually matters for a change?
