Swimming

A View to a Swim

Earlier this year, I signed up for a 2.5km open water swim in France at the end of August, run by the people who organised last year's Hever Castle swim.

I've held off posting about this because sporting events and foreign travel have remained uncertain. But at the time of writing the event is still on, and I'm going to do my damnedest to take part, with all appropriate safety measures taken and all government hoops jumped through. If it's absolutely impossible, I will swim the equivalent distance in the UK.

The big draw, for me, is that the location, the Château de Chantilly, features in A View to a Kill - what an opportunity! I decided it would be appropriate to fundraise for Unicef, as the late Sir Roger Moore was their ambassador for many years. A little thank you for all the pleasure James Bond has given me.

There's more information on my JustGiving page. Fingers crossed for an adventure. The good kind where nobody falls from an airship, drowns in a car or gets killed by an artificial butterfly.
