Husky Galore

The Royal International Air Tattoo always stirs up my patriotic side, as it's designed to, and so I would like to say:

1. The RAF's Eurofighter did a much more exciting display than the Spanish one
2. The Red Arrows is the best national display team in the world
3. Spitfires!

That out of the way, I was very excited to see the Thunderbirds for the first time, and to chat to a Hercules crewmember who had been part of the rescue operation following Hurricane Katrina. Other represented nations included Greece, who had brought a Hercules with a painting on the tail of - Hercules!

My favourite spectacle of the weekend, however, had to be three Spitfires and a Hurricane from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight doing their stuff with the Red Arrows.
