Currying Favour

I went for my first londoncurry last night.

I was a little apprehensive before the event. Of 20+ currygoers, I'd met two in person, once, in a pub just before Christmas when I wasn't of particularly sound mind. But as the venue was a hop, skip and jump from my office, I had no excuse.

And, of course, I needn't have worried. United at first by our common love of going out for curry in London, conversation soon moved from other great curries we had enjoyed in the capital to great social standbys like bitching about work, when Belle & Sebastian stopped being indie and favourite Doctors (Pertwee/Tom Baker/Troughton, at my end of the table).

All this and chicken tikka masala too!
