Bakelite phone

After two minutes of exhaustive and painstaking research here, I'm choosing to believe that the '164 46/1' stamped on the underside of the handset means it's a mark 1 phone made in 1946. The base is marked 'FWR 60/7', which means that in July 1960 it was sent to the GPO Factory in Cwmcarn, Wales, for refurbishment.

And thanks to hrrunka for phoning me! Ding!
