Typecasting

Got a call today from somebody called Sue at Adecco. Apparently I applied for a job they were advertising a few weeks ago; I lose track. Anyway, she wanted to know if I was interested in an inputting position for a database-driven website. The brief:

"They want someone who's bright but doesn't mind doing a mundane job."

Well hey, this has my name written all over it. A quick glance at my recent resumé will show that I eat mundanity for breakfast, lunch and supper, as well as imbibing it for elevenses with a chocolate biscuit. And do I ever complain about it? Do I? Complain? Ever?

(Er...my LiveJournal doesn't count, OK?)
