That kitty in the window

Went out for a stroll at lunchtime and saw the most gorgeous cat lying in a shop window. A fluffy, long-haired silver tabby with a brick-red nose and tufted ears like a lynx. It was so perfect and so still I actually didn't think it was real until deep green eyes opened in that 'yes, I am beautiful' expression that lovely cats wear so well. Everyone passing by stopped to look and coo, and everybody walked on looking happier than they did before.
